Bad news for the denizens of Azeroth. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been delayed. This, despite Blizzard offering assurances that the expansion would be available later this month. Blizzard has done its best to keep people engaged by launching new expansions every couple of years. But World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will see an unfortunate delay from its original launch on October 27 to the end of the year. The delay, as explained in a tweet from the game’s Executive Producer John Hight, will let the team further polish “one of the most intricate expansions” the game has seen. Hight notes that the endgame in particular still needs refinement. This work has been made more difficult due to the team having to work remotely. Blizzard is still targeting a 2020 release date for Shadowlands. That should put the release sometime in November or December if the company plans on keeping that target.
