Things have been going well for Spellbreak, with millions of registered players and generally favorable reviews. The free-to-play battle royale allows players to wield a variety of magical powers and items. Things are only getting better, too. Come October 22, there will be a new free update to Spellbreak called Prologue: The Gathering Storm, which will add a slew of new ways to play and feel entertained. There will be new content such as quests and challenges, Talents, Halloween themed cosmetics, and a new mode called Clash. As the name of the update suggests, it will likely serve as the first step for a live narrative or map/gameplay changes in the game. This is common in many battle royales, but that is not the main focus of developer Proletariat. Instead, the studio discussed details about what players can expect in the near future.
